Evaluation of the Effectiveness of English Instruction based on ASSURE Model

A great importance is given to English Language Teaching all over the world because of several reasons. However, it was found that there a need for studies evaluate teaching in literature. Thus, this study aimed effectiveness language instruction based on ASSURE model. The acronym stands six basic stages; 1. Analyze learners, 2. State objectives, 3. Select media and materials, 4. Utilize 5. Require learner participation 6. Evaluate revise. research structured an embedded design, one mixed method. While quantitative phase designed as quasi-experimental model, qualitative case study. Selected with multi-stage sampling method, two seventh grade classes school Ayd?n Province spring semester 2018-2019 academic year were assigned experimental group control group. "Environment" unit adapted according instructional design It examined whether statistically significant difference between change pre-test post-test success scores In addition, questionnaire consisting open-ended questions about applied students o examine where data analyzed using content analysis technique. According findings, generally enjoyed activities materials; however, they had difficulties especially such reading texts verbal question-answer activities. conclusion, lessons prepared model be successful general by students, objectives achieved. some recommendations made lesson more effective efficient.
